This is a rare opportunity for a senior employment solicitor to join a highly regarded, forward-thinking law firm built on a genuinely different model on a part-time basis. The employment team is led by an established partner with a thriving practice advising senior executives and commercial clients across sectors including transport, marketing and technology. The focus is firmly on high-quality contentious work, with a particular emphasis on complex discrimination and equality matters.
The successful candidate will step into an active caseload and play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the practice. This role will suit an employment solicitor with at least 8 years' PQE, gained at a reputable London or strong regional firm, who is confident managing matters with minimal supervision and comfortable engaging directly with clients.
You will have experience in:
- Drafting and responding to Employment Tribunal claims;
- Preparing witness statements and managing disclosure exercises;
- Advising clients strategically on contentious workplace issues;
- Running matters independently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Advocacy experience would be welcomed but is not essential. What is essential is sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the confidence to contribute to client meetings and business development initiatives.
The firm offers a genuinely flexible platform. The position is part-time, with flexible hours and predominantly remote working, alongside the option of occasional time in the London office if desired. This opportunity would appeal to a senior employment lawyer seeking high-quality contentious work within a supportive, collegiate environment, combined with the autonomy and flexibility that are still rare in the wider market.
