Our client is a leading offshore law firm seeking to appoint an experienced private client lawyer into one of their key offices.
This is an opportunity to take a real part in growing the firm's private client offering in the office. You would do that role and the work together with the backing of senior lawyers already in the business.
The work is principally high-end trusts work, together with foundations and employee benefit trusts, with some wills and probate. Clients are HNW private individuals and their families, trustees and fiduciaries, and the professional advisers who act for them. A good deal of the work is cross-border.
Alongside the technical side, business development is a genuine part of this role. You will be expected to play an active part in building relationships, in the local market and further afield, and an appetite for that is as important here as the legal ability.
You will be England and Wales, or other Commonwealth, qualified, with a credible and impressive private client background gained at a well-regarded onshore or offshore firm(s). A minimum of five years' PQE is required, and the role would best suit someone at eight years' PQE or more, at senior associate level or above. Offshore experience is welcome but is not needed.
The role offers a competitive salary reflecting the seniority of the appointment, together with Guernsey's 20% income tax rate, a comprehensive benefits package and relocation support for anyone moving to the island.
To discuss this role and your current situation confidentially, please contact Philip Jennings.
Please note that where a level of preferred experience or qualification is indicated, this is a guideline only and does not preclude applications from candidates with more or less experience.
Our consultants will review your application and assess your suitability. We endeavour to respond to all applications within 72 hours; however, due to the volume of applications we receive, we may not be able to respond to every candidate individually and would advise that if you do not hear from us you should assume you are not successful in your application.
