Our global-leading US firm client is seeking an ambitious associate to join its leading London Finance practice. The team advises banks, financial sponsors and corporate borrowers on complex cross-border financing transactions across Europe, with particular strength in leveraged and acquisition finance. The work spans syndicated senior and second lien facilities, private credit, ABL, Holdco PIK and fund financings, alongside infrastructure, real estate, restructuring and asset-backed finance matters.

You will join a fast-growing team, with a focus on leveraged finance and digital infrastructure finance, working on sophisticated cross-border transactions for banks, sponsors and corporates. The role offers early client exposure, responsibility and the opportunity to work alongside market-leading partners in a collaborative, high-performance environment. You will also work closely with the firm's high yield practice on bridge-to-bond and related financings.

The candidate sought will have 1-3 years' PQE (either gained in London or a similar common law jurisdiction), although all relevant experience will be considered. Candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Understanding of leveraged finance structures and loan products
  • Experience advising sponsors or banks on M&A-related leveraged financings, or a strong interest in developing this expertise
  • Ability to assist with drafting and negotiating finance documents
  • Exposure to infrastructure finance is beneficial, but not essential

Please note that where a level of preferred experience or qualification is indicated, this is a guideline only and does not preclude applications from candidates with more or less experience. Our consultants will review your application and assess your suitability. We endeavour to respond to all applications within 72 hours; however, due to the volume of applications we receive, we may not be able to respond to every candidate individually and would advise that if you do not hear from us you should assume you are not successful in your application.
