A global leader within the maritime and marine services sector is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its London-based legal team on an initial 6-month contract, starting ASAP. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a senior-level role offering broad exposure across commercial contracts, litigation oversight, and compliance matters within a fast-paced international business.

The successful individual will play a key role in supporting the company's global services operations, working across a range of commercial contracts matters, tenders, template subcontracting agreements and litigation matters. Applicants are likely to possess upwards of 5 years' PQE, with strong in-house commercial contracts experience and exposure to managing material litigation matters. Prior experience within shipping, marine services, logistics or agency environments would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Applicants are likely to be qualified in England & Wales, or other commonwealth jurisdictions, such as Australia and/or New Zealand. The legal team operates on a collaborative and collegiate basis, and the business is seeking an individual who enjoys working closely with stakeholders across the organisation. The team is based in London and requires three days per week in the office. Due to the ASAP start date, successful candidates are likely to be available immediately or at short notice.
