We have been instructed on an urgent requirement by a well-established regional law firm seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to provide interim support for an initial assignment of approximately two months. The role is to start ASAP and could be extended past the initial two months.

The successful Lawyer will join a busy and highly regarded employment team that advises a diverse client base, ranging from owner-managed businesses and SMEs through to larger national and international organisations. The team provides pragmatic, commercially focused advice across the full spectrum of employment law, supporting employers with both day-to-day HR issues and more strategic workforce matters.

This is a broad role involving both contentious and non-contentious employment work. The successful individual can expect to advise on:

  • Employment contracts
  • Policies and procedures
  • Disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Investigations
  • Restructurings
  • Redundancies
  • TUPE
  • Employment tribunal claims
  • Workplace disputes
  • Wider employment risk management

The team is known for delivering practical, business-focused advice and working closely with clients to help them navigate complex employment issues with confidence. The role requires an experienced Lawyer who is comfortable managing a busy caseload independently from day one, with no supervision. The position offers a high degree of flexibility, with remote working available. Whilst the assignment can largely be undertaken remotely, there may be an occasional requirement to attend the firm's office in Buckinghamshire on an ad hoc basis.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Upwards of 6 years' PQE in handling a full range of Employment Law matters
  • Strong experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters
  • The ability to independently manage a busy and varied caseload with no supervision
  • Previous experience gained within a notable law firm's employment law team
  • Excellent client management and communication skills
  • Availability to commence an assignment immediately or at short notice

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative employment team on an interim basis, working on a varied caseload for a broad range of employer clients whilst enjoying a flexible, predominantly remote working arrangement.

For further information, and a confidential conversation, please apply to Jennifer Pike.

Please note that where a level of preferred experience or qualification is indicated, this is a guideline only and does not preclude applications from candidates with more or less experience.
