An exciting opportunity has arisen for a junior Solicitor (NQ to 3PQE) to join a prestigious Energy & Infrastructure practice in Edinburgh.
Role Details:
- You will provide comprehensive advice to clients across the UK, assisting them in navigating the complexities of infrastructure projects.
- The team advises both private and public sector clients on projects across various industries including energy, utilities, transport, and social infrastructure (e.g., schools, hospitals, housing, prisons).
- The team’s expertise spans the entire lifecycle of infrastructure projects, from procurement and construction to financing, operations, and project expiry.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with public and private sector clients on the procurement and negotiation of contracts for new infrastructure projects
- Advising infrastructure funds and asset managers on contract issues throughout the lifecycle of infrastructure project portfolios
- Assisting contractors with new contracts and modifications to existing infrastructure project contracts
- Managing contract expiry and asset handback processes
- Advising on projects that are distressed
- Drafting settlement documentation for contractual disputes
Candidate Profile:
This opportunity is open to qualified Solicitors with up to 3 years’ post-qualification experience. Whilst experience in construction, infrastructure/projects, or general commercial contracts is advantageous, it is not a requirement.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior Solicitor to work with some highly regarded Partners in the industry, on complex and challenging work, in a leading international law firm.
