Competition Lawyer – FS Client. 12 month assignment. 2+ PQE.
We are currently working with a market leading ALSP which is seeking to appoint a Competition Lawyer to support a major financial services client on a 12-month assignment, commencing in late August/early September.
This opportunity is ideally suited to Lawyers with upwards of 2 years’ PQE.
The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with two days per week in the office in London.
The successful lawyer will become an integral part of the client's in-house legal team, advising on a broad range of competition and antitrust matters across commercial and strategic initiatives.
The work will be varied and business-facing, offering regular interaction with senior stakeholders, regulators and key decision-makers.
Responsibilities are likely to include: Advising on day-to-day competition and antitrust matters across commercial projects and contractual arrangements Providing strategic competition law advice on business and industry initiatives Engaging directly with regulators and supporting regulatory enquiries where required Assisting with reporting and updates to senior leadership, including Executive Committees and Boards Maintaining and enhancing the organisation's competition compliance framework Delivering face-to-face competition law training to business stakeholders Drafting guidance notes, undertaking risk assessments and promoting best practice across the business Suitable candidates are likely to demonstrate: Qualification as a Solicitor in England
