Our client, an independent London law firm, is looking to secure a Commercial Litigation Lawyer on a contract basis for a minimum of 3 months in duration. The requirement has arisen due to a high volume of work.
The litigation team handles a full range of commercial litigation matters to include (but not limited to) shareholder disputes, joint venture disputes, contract disputes, civil fraud, professional negligence and banking litigation. The team is routinely retained on high value domestic and cross-jurisdictional disputes opposite respected US, Magic Circle and other City practices.
Our client is also conflict-fee. As a result, they can litigate against financial institutions and banks which other firms count as key finance and/or corporate clients.
The successful commercial litigation lawyer will be joining a small and well-respected team that offers a genuine alternative to the traditional City firm.
It is likely that the successful litigation lawyer will be able to demonstrate:
- Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales, or another commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia and New Zealand, for example)
- Ideally between 2-6 PQE, although applicants outside of this bracket will also be considered
- A strong commercial litigation background with experience gained from notable firms
- The genuine desire to join an independent firm in London
- The ability to commit to a contract role of 3 months in duration, as a minimum
- An exceptional eye for detail
The firm operates on a hybrid working pattern, with 3 days per week required in the London office.
Whilst the initial contract is expected to run for 3 months, there is the potential for further extension.
