Commercial Lawyer

A well-established and growing regional law firm in Thames Valley is seeking a Commercial Lawyer (3-5 years\’ PQE) to join its expanding commercial team.

The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team advising a broad client base, including start-ups, entrepreneurs, charities, SMEs, privately owned businesses and UK subsidiaries of international organisations.

The role will involve a wide variety of commercial matters, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and advising on related business issues. Responsibilities will also include preparing tailored agreements and licences, advising on intellectual property, technology and data protection issues, and providing support on corporate matters where required. The team also maintains a strong interest in emerging technologies and regulatory developments, including developments in artificial intelligence.

Ongoing training, supervision and mentoring from experienced senior Lawyers will be provided to support long-term career progression within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing an individual caseload while confidently handling delegated work
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Representing the firm at networking and business development events
• Assisting with the development and mentoring of more junior colleagues

Candidate Profile

• Approximately 3-5 years\’ post-qualification experience in commercial law
• Experience gained within private practice or an in-house legal team
• Strong attention to detail and an organised, proactive approach
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
