Job Description
We are instructed by a longstanding client, a conflict-free litigation boutique in London, to recruit a disputes associate at probably between 2 to 5 years PQE.

The firm's conflict-free model means it is regularly instructed on matters that would ordinarily go to the leading US and Magic Circle firms. Clients include corporates, investors, sovereign-related entities, family offices and high-net-worth individuals, typically in disputes spanning several jurisdictions.

The firm is busier than it has ever been, and this hire reflects that.

The work includes:

- Commercial litigation and cross-border disputes
- Civil fraud and asset tracing
- Shareholder and joint venture disputes
- Contentious trust and fiduciary matters
- Investigations involving fraud, bribery and corruption
- International arbitration and related proceedings

Teams are lean. Associates are trusted to run matters and deal directly with clients from an early stage, rather than handling one part of a large case. The role will suit someone who wants that level of responsibility and the autonomy that comes with a smaller firm.

The successful candidate will probably:

- Have between 2 and 5 years PQE
- Have trained and qualified at a leading City or international firm
\n

\n
You'll definitely have a strong academic record, solid experience in commercial litigation and complex disputes, and be technically strong, commercially minded and confident dealing directly with clients
