Corporate Tax Lawyer (6 Month Assignment). International Law Firm. We are currently working with a highly regarded international law firm that is looking to engage an experienced Corporate Tax Lawyer for an initial 6-month assignment. The role is due to start ASAP and the firm is open to engaging candidates on either a fixed-term contract or daily rate basis, depending on individual preference and circumstances.
This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a leading partner and support a busy and highly respected tax practice. The successful individual will play a key role in managing transaction flow and providing senior-level support across a broad range of tax matters, enabling the partner to focus on strategic client development and practice growth.
The practice advises a diverse client base ranging from founders, entrepreneurs, family offices and high-net-worth individuals through to private equity funds, charities, institutional investors and large corporates. The breadth of the team's work is a genuine differentiator, with lawyers regularly collaborating across corporate, private client, real estate, employment, finance, charities and litigation practices.
The team advises on a broad range of UK corporate tax matters and works closely with colleagues across the wider firm:
- Corporate tax aspects of M&A transactions and corporate restructurings
- VAT, stamp taxes and withholding taxes
- Employment tax, management incentive arrangements and tax-efficient remuneration structures
- Fund structuring matters, including private equity and bespoke investment structures
- Tax considerations arising from growth company investments and fundraising activity
- Charity and not-for-profit tax matters
- Technical advisory work, including tax opinions, structuring advice and implementation projects
The team is keen to speak with experienced corporate tax lawyers who can bring strong technical expertise in some of these disciplines and confidently support a busy and varied workload. The firm operates a flexible hybrid working model and is open to discussing office attendance requirements around the successful candidate's preferences. Significant post-qualification experience (ideally 8+ PQE) advising on corporate tax matters, likely gained within a leading law firm environment.
