An ambitious and fast-growing London corporate team is looking to make a key senior hire as part of the continued expansion of its transactional practice. The London office has developed real momentum over recent years and is now attracting an increasingly strong flow of mid-market M&A, investment and strategic corporate work as clients continue to engage with the firm's growing City presence. The team is seeing a noticeable uplift in both the quality and complexity of mandates coming through the London platform, particularly across technology, healthcare, financial services, private capital and broader growth sectors. This is a particularly exciting time to join.
The firm remains in growth mode in London and there is a genuine opportunity for the successful individual to become part of a team that is continuing to build profile, deepen client relationships and expand its position within the market. The role would suit an experienced Senior Associate, Managing Associate, Legal Director or potentially an emerging Partner with strong corporate transactional experience and a genuine interest in high quality M&A work within a collaborative and commercially minded environment.
The work will include:
- UK and cross-border M&A transactions
- Private equity and investment work
- Management buyouts and reorganisations
- Shareholder and joint venture arrangements
- Growth capital transactions
- General corporate advisory work
The client base is broad and varied, ranging from entrepreneurial founder-led businesses and investors through to established corporates and high-growth companies. The successful Lawyer is likely to demonstrate:
- Strong technical corporate and M&A experience gained from a recognised UK practice
- Confidence leading transactions and managing client relationships
- Commercial awareness and pragmatic communication skills
- An interest in business development and helping grow a London practice
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach
- A following is not essential. The focus is very much on quality of experience, client handling ability and the appetite to become part of a growing London platform with genuine long-term potential.
In return, the firm offers:
- High quality transactional work
- Excellent client exposure
- A supportive and collegiate culture
- Strong progression prospects
- Flexible hybrid working
- Competitive remuneration
- A more sustainable long-term environment than many traditional City platforms
This opportunity is likely to appeal to Lawyers currently within larger firms who enjoy sophisticated corporate work but are looking for a platform where they can have greater visibility, stronger client access and the ability to play a more meaningful role in the continued growth of a London team.
