Our elite US firm client's London Finance practice is seeking an Associate with 4-6 years' experience to join its busy and fast-growing team. The London Finance group advises banks, financial sponsors and corporate borrowers on some of the largest, most complex and innovative cross-border financing transactions in the European market. The team is consistently recognised as having a leading Leveraged and Acquisition Finance practice, with expertise across all tiers of the capital structure, including syndicated senior and second lien facilities, private credit, asset-based lending, holdco PIK and fund financings.
The successful candidate will undertake a broad range of work, with a particular focus on Leveraged Finance and Digital Infrastructure Finance. You will work on high-profile, cross-border transactions, advising banks, financial sponsors and corporate clients worldwide. Associates receive early client exposure and are encouraged to participate in business development. You will work in a high-performance, collaborative environment, alongside Partners who are committed to your development and career progression.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a strong understanding of leveraged capital structures and loan products
- Have experience advising sponsors, banks and/or corporate borrowers on cross-border financings
- Have confidence leading the drafting and negotiation of commitment papers and loan and intercreditor documentation
- Have a complete understanding of English law security
- Ideally have (but not essential) experience in infrastructure finance
- Be qualified in England & Wales (or other Common Law jurisdiction)
