Further to an in-person meeting with our US firm client, we are instructed on a new role with their market-leading Investment Management team in London, which is looking for a 5-6 years' PQE Lawyer to take a leading role advising some of the world's most sophisticated hedge funds, credit funds and institutional investors. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a high-growth, strategically important practice that is expanding rapidly in response to strong client demand.
The team has deep market insight across all major investment strategies, with particular strength in hedge and credit fund structures and is actively shaping innovation in the credit fund space. You will advise top-tier global asset managers and institutional investors on a broad range of complex and high-value matters, including fund formation, fundraising, managed account structuring and UK regulatory issues. You will also support leading LPs on investments into funds and managed accounts.
Working closely with Partners and Senior Lawyers, you will enjoy significant client exposure and will play an active role in mentoring junior team members and contributing to the team's continued growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading on sophisticated investment management mandates across hedge funds and credit funds
- Advising clients on fund formation, managed accounts, and related regulatory matters
- Acting as a trusted adviser to clients with increasing autonomy
- Mentoring and supporting junior Lawyers within the team
- Contributing to business development and the team's long-term growth strategy
Qualities sought:
- 5-6 years' PQE in investment management from a leading firm
- Strong experience across both hedge funds and credit funds
- Product-agnostic approach with the ability to work across varied fund structures
- Commercially astute, highly organised, and adaptable
- Confident managing multiple priorities and working independently.
