A leading national law firm is seeking a Banking & Finance Solicitor with 3-8 years' post-qualification experience to join its established and growing team in Reading. This role offers exposure to a broad range of banking and finance matters, including:
- General corporate banking transactions
- Acquisition and leveraged finance
- Real estate finance
- Project finance
- Asset-based lending
The successful candidate will be qualified to practise in England & Wales (or an equivalent jurisdiction) and will be looking to further develop their expertise within a collaborative and commercially focused team environment. The firm operates a hybrid working model, offering flexibility between home and office working.
The Banking & Finance team is recognised for its commercial approach and technical strength across a full spectrum of financing transactions. The practice advises a wide range of UK-based financial institutions, including major clearing banks, challenger banks and specialist lenders. In addition to lender-side work, the team regularly advises corporate borrowers both domestically and internationally, including across Europe and the US.
This opportunity would suit a Solicitor, Associate or Senior Associate currently working within a banking or finance team who is keen to contribute to a growing practice. Applicants should demonstrate:
- Strong technical knowledge of banking and finance law
- Experience drafting and negotiating facility agreements, LMA documentation and related finance documents
- Sound commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Confidence when dealing with clients and colleagues at all levels
