The Role
This is an office-based, full-time role in Banbury, ideal for a conveyancer who enjoys autonomy but also values being part of a team. You’ll manage your own caseload of residential property matters and play an active role in the development of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling your own caseload of residential conveyancing files from instruction to post-completion
- Providing clear, practical legal advice to clients throughout the transaction process
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, transfers, and related property documents
- Reviewing search results, title documentation, and Land Registry requirements
- Liaising with estate agents, mortgage lenders, clients, and solicitors to ensure smooth progress of matters
- Supporting the Head of Unit and act independently as needed
- Contributing to business development by building new professional relationships and marketing the conveyancing service
- Supervising and supporting junior members of the team where appropriate
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Qualification as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX)
- A minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience in residential conveyancing
- Solid understanding of property law and conveyancing procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
- Proven ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently and independently
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- A full UK driving licence
