A leading law firm is looking to hire a proactive and driven legal engineer for a permanent, full-time position.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified lawyer (PQE 4 years +) to work between the innovation and practice teams, helping lawyers to get the best out of new legal technology and innovation tools.

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Designing and building AI-enabled workflows.
  • Working closely with the wider innovation team, contributing to firm-wide technology adoptions.
  • Acting as SME on using AI to solve legal problems, including matter management, knowledge retrieval and contract review.
  • Supporting lawyers in adopting the right tools for the right tasks.
  • Organising and leading regular sessions to keep staff updated on emerging legal technology and AI tools.
  • Working closely with partners and knowledge lawyers to gain an understanding of how matters are run.
  • Identifying areas where legal AI and technology could add value.
  • Managing the innovation and AI roadmap and responsible AI governance
  • Representing the firm at events.
  • Diagnosing pain points in legal workflows and identify practical solutions.
  • Leading the delivery of AI and innovation initiatives.

Main experience and skills required

  • 4 Years PQE.
  • Strong experience in Disputes or Transactions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Experience of identifying and effectively implementing improvements into practice
  • A passion for innovation and experience of driving engagement and adoption.

To be successful in this role it is essential that you are highly collaborative with strong interpersonal skills.
