Accounts Manager, London

A leading, London based law firm is looking to hire an accounts manager on a permanent basis. This is a fully office-based role and the main responsibilities include implementing office accounts and invoicing procedures and ensuring that accounts ledgers are maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Producing month end and management accounts reporting.
  • Taking responsibility for VAT returns.
  • Preparing annual accounts and accountant’s reports.
  • Supervising accounts assistants.
  • Dealing with queries and resolving problems.
  • Providing a high standard of service at all times.
  • Assisting with general administration duties.
  • Managing credit control and bank reconciliations.
  • Coordinating the outsourced payroll functions.
  • Staying up to date on any changes to solicitors accounts rules and the law.
  • Experience and skills:

    • Dealing with accounts within a law firm.
    • Knowledge of case management systems.
    • Previous experience in a Lexcel accredited firm.
    • Excellent computer literacy.
    • Understanding of solicitors accounts rules, VAT and regulatory obligations.
    • Proactive and positive attitude.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    This is a fully office-based role.
