A great opportunity has arisen to join an international law firm as a compliance officer within their business acceptance team.Their business acceptance team are responsible for Conflicts and AML. In this team you are expected to do both the analysis and advise the Partners based on findings. Even when highly complex matters occur you will work with a senior compliance officer to complete the analysis and present the findings to the Partners, Head of BA and GC.Responsibilities:In this role, you will provide support in the completion of Business Acceptance tasks, predominantly focusing on conflict searches and new business intake/matter openings.You will be:Analysing conflict search results to identify potential regulatory and/or commercial conflicts and facilitating the resolution of these, utilising Intapp.Managing incoming requests for new client and new matter openings.Researching new clients for CDD purposes and assisting in obtaining the information and documentation required for this purpose.Implementing and maintaining information barriers.Conducting sanctions screening.There will also be opportunities to get involved with various risk and compliance projects, such as testing software upgrades linked to the business acceptance team.Experience required:A strong understanding of Anti-Money Laundering legislation and conflicts rules, including experience with different international jurisdictions.Confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders within the business.Strong research skills and familiarity with widely used data providers.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.Experience of using software Intapp, onnitrack or FirstAMLProven relevant experience in an established compliance team within a law or professional services firm.This is a hybrid role, but expectations are for 3 days in the London office.Location: LondonRegion: London (Greater)Country: UKSalary: 50,000 - 65,000Specialisation: Fraud & White Collar Crime, Regulatory/ComplianceSector: Law firmRole Position: Compliance/Risk RolesContract Type: PermanentHours: Full TimeExperience Level: Mid Level (2-5 years)PQE: Non QualifiedReference Number: MBP-PL-18242
