A global energy trading company is seeking a Senior Counsel to join its London-based EMEA legal team. This position offers a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of energy trading, M&A, and infrastructure investment, advising senior leaders on complex, high-value transactions across a dynamic portfolio.

Key Responsibilities include:

Corporate/M&A:

• Advise on acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and portfolio management in energy infrastructure and power assets.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate key transaction documentation.
• Support project and corporate financing activity across the asset portfolio.

Trading & Commercial Advisory

• Partner with trading and commercial teams on deal structuring, negotiation, and risk management.
• Draft and negotiate a variety of contracts covering both physical and financial commodity transactions.
• Advise on trade finance matters, including credit facilities and bilateral agreements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across credit, operations, compliance, and tax.

• The ideal candidate will be a UK-qualified lawyer with at least 7 years’ PQE, with experience across both M&A and Energy Trading matters.
