An award-winning, specialist pensions law firm is seeking a technically strong and commercially astute Senior Pensions Lawyer to join its Leeds office at Senior Associate or Legal Director level. With one of the largest dedicated pensions teams in the country and a growing presence in Yorkshire, this is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior role in a highly regarded practice that operates nationally but maintains a strong regional identity.

The Role:

You’ll join a friendly and expert team in Leeds, working on a wide range of high-quality matters, including:

  • Trustee advisory and scheme governance
  • Buy-ins, buy-outs, and insurance-led transactions
  • Regulatory issues and pension scheme transfers
  • Support on major corporate transactions, providing pensions due diligence and strategic advice
  • Opportunity to contribute to the team’s pensions litigation work if desired

You’ll also play an important role in supervising junior team members and supporting business development initiatives across the region.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 5 years’ PQE in pensions law (non-contentious or contentious backgrounds welcome)
  • Technically strong, with the confidence to lead on complex matters
  • Enjoys mentoring and developing junior lawyers
  • Collaborative and commercially minded, with a genuine interest in helping grow a high-performing regional team
