Job Description
Our client is a market leading ALSP that is looking to engage a junior commercial tech Lawyer with a financial services background for a 6 month assignment with an investment bank. The role is to start ASAP, and will require three days a week in their Birmingham based office.
The successful individual will join a team that works on tech and market data contracting matters. The need has arisen to help manage workflow within the team. The caseload will include matters relating to market data and index licensing as well as technology contracts.
Successful individuals must have experience in technology contracts, ideally gained within the financial services sector.
Given the scope of the role and the budget, the end client is open to considering junior level Lawyers, including those who are newly qualified, who can demonstrate the requisite experience.
The successful Lawyer will likely be able to demonstrate:
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales, or another commonwealth jurisdiction (such as New Zealand and/or Australia, for example).
- Capabilities as a junior commercial tech Lawyer.
- Experience gained within the financial services sector.
- Exposure to handling market data and index licensing as well as technology contracts would be ideal.
- The ability to start a new role immediately or at short notice.
- A willingness to spend three days per week in a Birmingham based office.
- The capacity to commit to a 6 month assignment.
