Paws is a new petcare brand launching in August 2026 and we’re looking for the person who’s going to make some noise about it! You’ll be in from day one, building anticipation before we launch, owning the moment we go live, and growing a community of pet lovers that sticks around long after. We’re launching in both the UK and Australia and this role sits at the heart of all of it.

The role involves:

  • Building the strategy from the ground up, creating buzz before we launch, turning that buzz into a community on launch day, and then converting that community into loyal Paws customers.
  • Building and executing a pre-launch social strategy that creates anticipation and gets people excited before we’re available to buy.
  • Owning the launch moment across Instagram and TikTok in both the UK and Australia.
  • Continuing to build momentum post-launch, growing an engaged community and turning followers into customers.
  • Developing and delivering platform-specific organic social strategies, creating content that is promotional, educational, entertaining and community-led.
  • Filming, editing and posting content daily, bringing the Paws world to life in a way that feels real and engaging.
  • Coming up with fresh creative concepts and content ideas that are relevant to UK and AU audiences (collaborating with AU team).
  • Scheduling and publishing content across platforms.
  • Monitoring competitor activity, audience behaviour and platform performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimise results.
  • Managing community engagement, responding to comments and DMs and building genuine connections with our audience.
  • Working closely with the marketing manager on brand messaging and campaign direction.
  • Supporting paid media with content.
  • Driving high-performing content with a focus on organic growth, reach and engagement.

About you:

  • 2+ years experience in social media, content creation or a similar role, ideally within a pet, lifestyle or consumer brand.
  • You love pets!! Bonus points if one lives with you.
  • Proven track record of creating content that performs, we want to see something you’ve made go viral!
  • Deep understanding of social media trends, platform culture and emerging content formats.
  • Confident and comfortable in front of the camera, with the ability to create authentic content that feels native to each platform.
  • Strong script writing, filming, editing and production skills using mobile-first tools and apps.
  • Ability to interpret and consistently represent the Paws tone of voice, visual identity and brand values.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • You think big and a blank canvas excites you.
  • A home filming setup is a nice to have. This is a hybrid wfh role.
