The Role

As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will drive projects from concept to completion, supporting design, manufacturing, testing, and delivery activities.

Acting as a central point of contact, you will collaborate with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and inspectors to ensure successful project outcomes.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Provide technical support and resolve engineering queries across projects and existing product ranges.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including Sales, Supply Chain and Production, to deliver effective engineering solutions.
  • Communicate project progress and engineering updates to key stakeholders.
  • Source components and materials and create associated part numbers and bills of materials.
  • Prepare and review engineering documentation, including specifications, schedules, procedures, certification and reports.
  • Identify, assess and manage technical and project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements and quality expectations.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on time and within budget, acting as a technical checker and supporting site visits to suppliers, clients and other company locations as required.

What we're looking for

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing techniques,
  • Experience taking designs from concept through prototyping, validation and production.
  • Skilled in preparing and managing engineering and project documentation.
  • Knowledge of gas and fluid systems, relevant design standards, and industry guidelines (e. g. IMCA).
  • Experience working to marine or defence standards, including class society rules such as LR and DNV.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems; product design, diving equipment design, or diving qualifications would be advantageous.
