About the Role
This role requires security checks. We’re looking for an Engineering Coordinator to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our Engineering function, balancing near‑term delivery with long‑term improvement initiatives. You’ll work closely with the Head of Engineering & Innovation and the wider team to monitor performance, drive action, and report on progress, while coordinating initiatives that shape the future success of the business. You’ll bring an innovative mindset, a sharp eye for detail with strong analytical skills, and the ability to produce insightful reports. Excellent communication skills and a team‑oriented approach are essential.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinate activities across the engineering function using lean management principles.
- Work order generation, maintenance, analysis and reporting to ensure budgetary requirements are met.
- Report on engineering system status including ECN & PLM to ensure engineering deliverables are met on time and to budget.
- Create and deliver business systems reports on engineering performance.
- Maintain department schedule in conjunction with Engineering Team Lead's / Managers.
- Communicate with other departments to provide visibility of engineering status of tasks that impact other areas of the business.
- Ensure engineering corrective actions are monitored and progressed in line with company policy.
- Prepare and maintain registers as required, including action tracking control and efficient close out of required/overdue actions across the function.
- Compile and maintain technical risk register ensuring actions are closed out in a timely manner.
- Engage in and take ownership of engineering function initiatives that focus on long term success.
- Support generation and maintenance of engineering function strategy.
- Support Leadership team in the Engineering function with coordination activities.
- Create business cases to support approval of initiatives or strategy changes.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, supported by Legal & Compliance and HSEQ departments.
What We're Looking For
- Recognised qualification in business studies or equivalent.
- A proactive self‑starter able to operate with minimal supervision and deliver defined work scopes.
- Lean management training is desirable.
- Demonstrable experience in a technical coordination role.
- Experience with ERP, PLM and business reporting systems.
- Experienced in collating, recording and resolving internal and external business queries.
- Experienced in generating and maintaining business reports.
