The Role
We are seeking a proactive and reliable General Maintenance Person to support the upkeep of our sites in Inchinnan and Westway, Glasgow. This hands-on role involves carrying out a range of maintenance and repair tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting and decorating, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment at all times. You will monitor materials and equipment, highlight requirements to maintain effective operations, and work closely with external contractors to coordinate on-site repairs and maintenance. The role is suited to someone with a strong eye for detail, pride in their work, effective planning skills, and the ability to identify and address issues before they arise.
What you’ll be doing
- Inspect worksite daily to identify problems such as faulty lighting and door security.
- Carry out regular facility services and respond to requests for maintenance services.
- Repair basic plumbing, electrical and maintenance items as required, engaging contractors where necessary.
- Ensure the parking and paths are free from debris.
- Complete vehicle checks as required, drop off and collect vehicles from various garages for MOT and servicing.
- Complete painting and decorating, office furniture changes as required.
- Complete stock checks on all coffee.
