Assistant Reception Manager Needed for a Luxury Hotel Company in East Sussex Areas - Up To £30,000 + Live In + Benefits. IMMEDIATE START.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hotel Assistant Reception Manager to join a luxury hotel company in the heart of Sussex. The client is proud of their strong customer relationships and friendly atmosphere and are looking for an experienced Hotel Reception Manager who can deliver on the upkeep of all aspects of front office.
Due to the demand to service their discerning clients, they are looking for like-minded individuals who have worked in hotels with experience in hotel Reception management to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Duties:
- Receive guests to the hotel by greeting them warmly, attending to their inquiries, and answering inquiries over the phone.
- Direct, plan and work with other managers.
- Analyse budgets, forecasting and expenditure & room occupancy along with the Reception Manager.
- Inform guests of the services and accommodation rates in the hotel, make reservations for guests according to their needs, and ensure that all reservations are taken care of.
- Work closely with housekeeping & other departments.
- Have a good understanding of Opera PMS systems.
- Work as a Duty Manager in the absence of the General Manager.
- Build good relationships and rapport with guests to make them feel comfortable and address any complaints courteously to protect the image of the hotel.
- Manage and keep clear and comprehensive records of guest room bookings and all billings for accountability and future reference.
- Maintain orderliness at the front desk by arranging documents accordingly and keeping the front desk area clean at all times.
- Attend to all routes of room bookings, such as online, phone, and in person, to ensure that reservations are attended to promptly.
- Report issues of maintenance and malfunctioning appliances to the manager for quick repair to ensure guests' comfort and satisfaction.
The Ideal Candidate will be:
- Experienced in a similar hotel reception Supervisor/Management role within a hotel environment.
- Warm and engaging personality.
- Conduct regular audits.
- MUST have Opera experience.
- Involved in appraisals and reviews with all staff members.
- Able to drive.
- Experienced in Duty Management duties within hotels.
- Able to communicate at all levels and give clear direction to the team.
- Flexible to work various shifts.
- Managing a small team.
- Good computer skills.
- Have a 'can do' attitude.
- Conduct regular front desk meetings.
- Good telephone manners and well-groomed.
- Able to give verbal and written communication at all times.
- Used to being on their feet.
- Proactive and able to think on their feet.
- Experienced in dealing with different types of clientele with customer service being the top priority.
- Great organisational skills along with the passion and commitment to driving excellent service to the clientele and a proven track record within a Reception Management hotel environment.
