Maintenenace Manager – Reading – Up To 32K

Are you an experienced Maintenance professional with a passion for ensuring buildings are safe, functional, and up to the highest standards? We are looking for a Hotel Maintenance Manager to join our team and take charge of the daily upkeep and safety of the hotel.

This role involves a hands-on approach to maintaining the building, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards, and demonstrating exceptional attention to detail. If you have solid technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the stamina to thrive in a dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the hotel's structure and maintenance procedures.
  • Monitor and manage water systems with Legionella knowledge.
  • Oversee COSHH training and compliance within the team.
  • Conduct basic electrical and plumbing repairs.
  • Operate and maintain electrical tools and equipment.
  • Interpret technical manuals and drawings with ease.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and contractors.
  • Supervise and guide external contractors, ensuring proper sign-in and instruction.
  • Manage and prioritise the Maintenance Log effectively.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager daily to address priority tasks.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in hotel maintenance.
  • Knowledge: Strong grasp of Health & Safety standards, electrical and plumbing systems, and machinery used in hotel upkeep.
  • Skills: Demonstrated leadership, technical proficiency, and the ability to solve problems proactively.

Preferred Experience

  • At least 1 year of hands-on maintenance experience (preferred but not essential).

Work Location

  • On-site, ensuring a physical presence to address maintenance needs promptly.
