Head Chef - 4-star Hotel £50,000 + Tronc + Benefits East Yorkshire area Are you an experienced Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready for your next step, with a background in high-volume hotel kitchens and banqueting? Were looking for a confident and creative Head Chef to take full responsibility for the kitchen operation within an established 4-star hotel in the East Yorkshire area. This is an exciting opportunity to join the hotel at an important time, with a new food concept being introduced later this year. Youll play a key role in developing the offering, training the team and ensuring the kitchen is ready to deliver consistently high-quality food. The Role Lead and develop a kitchen team of 8 Take full accountability for the day-to-day kitchen operation Develop new dishes, including locally inspired menus, with full recipe costings Support the introduction and implementation of a new food concept Train, coach and develop the existing kitchen team Lead a substantial banqueting operation, delivering food to large numbers at events Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, hygiene and presentation Manage food costs, wastage and kitchen budgets Work closely with the wider hotel and F&B teams to continually improve the food offering About You Were looking for a Head Chef who: Has previous Head Chef or senior Sous Chef experience Comes from a high-volume hotel, events or banqueting environment Is confident delivering food for large-scale events and functions Has strong menu development and costing skills Enjoys developing people and getting the best from a team Is commercially aware and understands food GP, labour and wastage Is creative, hands-on and passionate about improving the food offering Can lead a team while remaining calm and organised in a busy operation Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
