JWR is delighted to be partnering with a high-growth, premium events and catering business delivering over 700 weddings, corporate events and private celebrations annually. We are seeking an exceptional Operations Director to take full strategic and operational ownership of a large-scale, multi-site events operation, working closely with the Founder & Managing Director to drive growth, performance and long-term scalability.

The Role
As Operations Director, you will sit on the senior leadership team with full accountability for operational strategy, delivery and financial performance across the business. You will lead a workforce of 120+ employees, overseeing high-volume event delivery while building a robust, scalable operational infrastructure to support continued growth.
You will:
- Define and deliver the operational strategy aligned with business expansion plans
- Take full ownership of operational P&L (£4m+ revenue)
- Lead and develop a senior management team across operations, logistics and events
- Drive consistency, service excellence and quality standards across 700+ annual events
- Implement scalable systems, structures and reporting frameworks
- Oversee workforce planning, resource strategy and organisational design
- Optimise cost control, procurement and operational efficiencies
- Work closely with Sales and Creative teams to ensure commercial alignment and delivery feasibility
- Provide strategic insight, forecasting and performance reporting to the Founder & MD
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience at Operations Director or senior leadership level within catering, events or hospitality
- Track record of leading large-scale, high-volume operations
- Experience managing senior leadership teams and multi-layered structures
- Strong commercial acumen with full P&L accountability
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into operational delivery
- Deep understanding of logistics, planning and large-scale event execution
- Data-driven with strong analytical and reporting capability
- Inspirational leader with a clear, structured and decisive approach
