A high-profile 4-star hotel in Leeds is looking for a strategic and results-focused Commercial Director to take full ownership of the hotel's total revenue strategy across bedrooms, meetings & events, reservations and proactive sales. This role is ideal for an ambitious Commercial Director or senior hotel commercial leader looking for a highly visible position with real influence across total hotel performance.
We are specifically seeking someone with strong knowledge of the Leeds hotel market, alongside proven experience within both branded and independent hotels and a strong background in both Rooms and Meetings & Events revenue management. You will oversee the onsite commercial office across Reservations, Meetings & Events Sales, ensuring all departments are aligned to deliver strong commercial performance and exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- You will lead and develop an established onsite commercial office of 8 across Reservations and Meetings & Events Sales.
- Manage and develop the onsite commercial office team of 8.
- Drive proactive sales activity, conversion and market share growth.
- Oversee both Rooms Revenue Management and Meetings & Events Revenue strategy.
- Build strong local corporate and agency relationships within the Leeds market.
- Work closely with senior operational leaders to deliver commercial success across the hotel.
- Analyse performance trends, competitor activity and forecasting to maximise profitability.
- Demonstrable experience in both Rooms Revenue Management and M&E Revenue Management.
- Strong knowledge of the Leeds hotel market and local demand drivers.
- Experienced managing multi-functional commercial teams.
- Commercially strategic, hands-on and highly relationship driven.
- Able to influence stakeholders and lead from the front.
