Main Responsibilities
- Actively work with schools to produce bespoke menus and meals.
- Identify, through the information given by the school, any children with allergies.
- Create new and exciting bespoke menus, specific to allergen requirements at each school and for every pupil.
- Design and deliver menus in accordance with government guidelines.
- Ensure that all menus produced are fully allergen checked.
- Effectively demonstrate the use of the freshest ingredients to cook restaurant quality meals in schools.
- Promote the ethos of healthy eating and provide nutritionally balanced, wholesome food in accordance with government food guidelines.
- Assess and develop kitchen staff's cookery skills through use of best practice training, demonstration, and advice.
Desirable Skills
- Ability to develop and empower others appropriately using a range of motivational skills.
- Previous culinary / catering experience (3+ years).
- Experience of target setting and performance measurement.
- Catering experience in an educational setting.
