The Role
As Housekeeping Manager, you will take full responsibility for ensuring all guest bedrooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards, delivering exceptional cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel.
You will:
- Lead, supervise and develop the housekeeping team
- Ensure exceptional cleanliness standards across all guest and public areas
- Manage daily staffing levels, rota planning and departmental organisation
- Monitor guest feedback and drive improvements in guest satisfaction scores
- Deliver training, coaching and ongoing performance management
- Ensure all health & safety and compliance standards are consistently maintained
- Manage departmental budgets including labour, supplies and laundry costs
- Work closely with senior hotel leadership to maintain operational excellence
Requirements
We are looking for an organised and motivated hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and previous housekeeping management experience within a hotel environment.
You will have:
- Previous housekeeping supervisory or management experience within hotels
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal ability
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Confidence managing staffing, rotas and departmental costs
- Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance procedures
- Ability to remain calm and adaptable within a fast-paced operation
- A proactive and guest-focused approach to service delivery
