The Role
As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager with the day-to-day running of a busy, high-end restaurant operation, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and seamless service delivery throughout every shift. You will:
- Lead service with confidence, professionalism and energy
- Support, mentor and develop the front-of-house team
- Help drive team engagement, motivation and retention
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences and confidently manage guest feedback
- Maintain excellent food, beverage and wine knowledge
- Support labour control, rota planning and stock management
- Uphold the restaurant's premium service standards and ethos
- Work closely with senior floor staff and kitchen teams to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members
Requirements
We are looking for a passionate hospitality professional with strong leadership qualities and a genuine love for premium food and beverage service. You will have:
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a luxury restaurant environment
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- A warm, professional and guest-focused approach
- Confidence working in a fast-paced premium dining operation
- Passion for food, wine and hospitality
- Experience with reservation and POS systems would be advantageous
- WSET qualifications or strong wine knowledge would be highly desirable
