JWR is working with a high-end, privately owned hospitality group to recruit a commercially driven Group Finance Director. This is a newly created role supporting an ambitious growth phase, including significant investment, redevelopment projects, and the integration of multiple luxury hotel operations.

The Role

  • Lead financial strategy, governance, and performance across a portfolio of high-quality hospitality assets, working closely with the CFO, General Managers, and on-site finance teams.
  • Drive financial strategy aligned to growth and shareholder objectives.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Deliver insightful analysis to improve profitability, cash flow, and performance.
  • Oversee capital projects with a focus on ROI and cost control.
  • Enhance reporting, KPIs, and financial systems across the group.
  • Manage banking relationships and optimise financing structures.
  • Ensure strong governance, compliance, and internal controls.
  • Act as a key commercial partner to operational leadership teams.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Finance Director / CFO / Group Finance Director within hospitality.
  • Strong background in multi-site hotel operations.
  • Highly commercial with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing capex projects and growth environments.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor teams.
