A privately owned global industrial organization, supplying a vast range of high-performance fluid sealing products and associated knowledge-based services to virtually every industry sector. With state-of-the-art skills in materials technology, particularly relating to elastomers, polymers, composites and engineering plastics plus extensive expertise in precision machining of exotic alloys for metallic seals, and tension control fasteners for bolted joints.

Your Role

As a Product Engineer, you will provide technical support and development assistance for global gasket manufacturing centres and service linked products to FMS. This role focuses on enhancing service delivery, supporting existing products in the market, and contributing to development projects aimed at improving performance and extending product capabilities into new sectors such as HPICPI Energy transition, Valve Industry, Molten Salts, CCUS, Nuclear and Defence.

You will:

  • Assist in the improvement of service tools and technical support for current solutions; for use with Sales and Applications engineering teams including the web based gasket product selector.
  • Contribute to product testing and qualification programs to extend lifecycle and ensure compliance with sustainability and emissions reduction requirements.
  • Support the creation of technical documentation, training materials, and marketing content.
  • Participate in industry events and expos alongside senior engineers to promote technical expertise.
  • Work closely with flange management and site service teams to provide customer facing value.

  • Product Support
  • Assist in refining mechanical designs and integrating new technology principles.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of product issues in collaboration with quality and manufacturing teams.
  • Help maintain and improve service tools and performance monitoring systems.
  • Testing & Compliance
    • Participate in product testing and qualification programs.
    • Support initiatives aligned with sustainability and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation & Training
    • Prepare technical reports, training materials, and marketing collateral.
    • Assist in delivering webinars, workshops, and customer training sessions.
    • Work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and technical teams.
    • Provide input for continuous improvement and innovation projects linked with product management and the technical roadmap.

    About you

    • Degree in Mechanical or related engineering discipline.
    • Functional skills in English, ie Level 4 or above.
    • Demonstrated technical capabilities in field of mechanical engineering.
    • Experience of working within a project team.

    Preferred

    • Industrial experience within HPI/ CPI market sectors.
