Your Role
James Walker Cockermouth Is recruiting a Product Stream Technician. You will be part of the Configuration Department based at the James Walker Cockermouth site. You will work closely with the James Walker sales teams and clients to bring products and solutions to life.
Working hours Monday to Thursday 08.45 am – 5.00 pm and Fridays 08.45 am – 12.45 pm/ 3.30 pm worked alternate weeks.
Key Responsibilities
·Assist and train team members in the interpretation of customers' requirements, and in the selection of the most appropriate product to satisfy these requirements.
·Ensure that where there is a choice of suitable technical solutions, products, or route to manufacture, the most appropriate solution balancing operational and commercial aspects for the particular circumstances is selected.
·Clearly understand when more detailed technical support is required, and to seek assistance from the most appropriate "Technically Competent" member of the Company's Technology Centre Team or Sales Company Applications Engineering Team to resolve the query. xgikmsk
·Ensure that any systems and processes associated with the role comply with both Company policy and relevant legislation.
·Make product and material selection recommendations or vet stated operating conditions on customer enquiries based upon published literature and in house product selection systems e.g. Colmis
