James Stevens Associates are delighted to be working with a Social Housing organisation in North London that are now looking for an Interim Property Sales & Disposals Manager.
Hybrid & Field based role
- Day rate | 6 to 12 month contract
- Outside of IR35
- £300 - £400 a day
- Working 4 days per week
- Looking for someone to start within the next 1-2 weeks
Working Style
- Hybrid: 1-2 days in office, rest on-site or remote

The Opportunity
The Housing Association are delivering an ambitious asset strategy to unlock capital from selected properties and reinvest across its wider portfolio. With a live pipeline already in motion, the role is now looking for a commercially driven, hands-on professional to take ownership of sales activity and convert opportunities into completed deals. This is not a desk-based or purely strategic role, it's a front-line, deal-making position where your impact will be visible from day one.
The Role
You'll take control of an active pipeline across:
- Void property sales
- Tenant purchases
- Shared ownership and staircasing
Your focus will be simple: Generate momentum, drive engagement, and get deals over the line.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end property sales from instruction through to completion
- Progress existing opportunities (voids and tenant interest) into completed transactions
- Engage directly with tenants to understand motivations and convert interest into sales
- Work closely with estate agents, solicitors, and internal stakeholders to maintain pace and remove blockers
- Develop and implement practical, commercially driven sales strategies
- Structure incentives where needed (e.g. pricing, minor works) to unlock demand
- Support shared ownership sales and drive staircasing activity across the portfolio
- Maintain visibility of pipeline performance and ensure consistent delivery
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Proven track record of personally closing property deals
- Strong negotiation and commercial instinct
- Comfortable working directly with tenants and buyers
- Ability to operate autonomously and proactively
- Experience managing the full sales lifecycle
Desirable:
- Exposure to shared ownership or affordable housing
- Experience working with tenanted stock or complex sales environments
This role is all about execution and delivery. You'll likely come from experience with:
