James Ray Recruitment are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of English to join a high performing School in Hull. We are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified graduate to teach English in our well-equipped department.

The successful candidate will be able to teach English at KS3, GCSE (AQA), A Level (Ed Excel). They will join a dynamic and thriving department, which is excellently resourced with books, teaching materials and ICT equipment. The school and the senior management team are strongly supportive of English and recognise the important role it plays in the intellectual life of the whole School community.

This position will cover 5 days per week on an ongoing basis to start April 2025. This school is looking for someone who holds QTS and has experience teaching English up to KS4 & KS5. Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate good levels of behaviour management. The salary is MPS1 to MPS6 £25,174 to £36,961, this is dependent on experience.

  • Have experience teaching English in Key Stage 4 & Key Stage 5
  • Hold a PGCE and qualified teacher status (QTS) or be working towards the latter
