Teaching Assistant in Stockport

Job Overview

James Ray Recruitment is supporting a School in the Stockport area to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to start ASAP, working Monday‑Friday. The post holder will need to promote the independence, self‑esteem and social inclusion of all children, whilst also being responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all pupils within the setting. The daily rate for this role depends on qualifications and prior experience working within education or social care is essential.

Key Duties

• Has in-depth SEN knowledge and experience especially ASD, ADHA and SEMH etc.
• Can create and support a calm, caring and stimulating environment.
• Must have experience of working with children and young people.
• Resilient and able to adapt to situations.
• Is able to communicate effectively.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one via James Ray Recruitment.
• Rights to work in the UK.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience working with children and young people in an SEN setting.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• References covering the last 2 years.
• Proof of ID/Address.
