London – West End Residential & Mixed-Use Investment Agency

Our client is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst with strong valuation experience to take a lead role in the firm’s instruction-winning process. This is a valuation-heavy analytical role requiring someone who can independently produce full written valuation reports, support pricing strategy, and speak confidently with vendors during early stage engagement. Valuation work represents around 70% of the role and is central to how the firm secures mandates. The successful candidate must be able to deliver clear, defensible valuation outputs and translate them into commercially persuasive conversations with clients. This is a senior, client-facing position supporting brokers from first contact through to instruction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Valuation & Instruction Support (70%)
    • Lead valuations for mixed use, residential, and income producing assets
    • Produce full written valuation reports, including methodology, comps analysis and rationale
    • Support senior brokers in setting pricing strategies for new instructions
    • Attend pitch meetings (where required) to reinforce valuation credibility
    • Present valuation conclusions confidently to vendors and answer technical questions
    • Strengthen the firm’s instruction-winning process through robust valuation outputs
  • Investment Analysis & Deal Support (30%)
    • Prepare analytical models, sensitivity tests and appraisal summaries
    • Produce investment memoranda, opportunity write ups and marketing materials
    • Support transaction structuring, pricing discussions and deal execution
    • Track comparables, yields, planning developments and market trends
    • Assist with opportunity sourcing and qualification where relevant

What Makes This Role Distinct

This is not a junior analyst role. Our client requires someone who:

  • Has hands on experience producing valuation reports (not just internal spreadsheets)
  • Has been involved in valuation stages of securing instructions
  • Can confidently explain pricing logic, comparables, methodology and sensitivity tests
  • Is comfortable engaging directly with vendors and senior stakeholders
  • Operates with both technical rigour and commercial awareness

Candidates without valuation-report experience or instruction-stage exposure will not be suitable.

Experience Required

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in real estate valuation, investment analysis, or development consultancy
  • Proven experience producing full written valuation reports for mixed-use or residential assets
  • Strong understanding of yields, comparables, income analysis and development potential
  • Confident presenting valuations and speaking with vendors
  • Familiarity with Searchland, Nimbus, LandInsight or similar tools is beneficial

Attributes

  • Exceptional analytical capability and valuation judgement
  • Strong written communication and reporting skills
  • Commercially minded and able to articulate valuation rationale
  • Confident, client facing and composed with senior stakeholders
  • Proactive and collaborative; able to support senior brokers effectively
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial West End environment

Salary & Package

Base salary up to: £60,000. Additional performance-linked incentives may be available depending on deal flow and contribution.
