An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Cost Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the growing Building Consultancy team of a leading global real estate consultancy in Birmingham. This role offers the opportunity to join a developing team with strong long-term growth plans, supporting a broad range of occupier, investor and developer clients across the Midlands and nationally.

The successful candidate will work across a varied project portfolio including commercial, industrial, student accommodation, residential and retirement living schemes, delivering both cost consultancy and project-focused surveying services. The position would suit an experienced consultancy-side Quantity Surveyor, Cost Manager or Project Surveyor looking for greater responsibility, broader project exposure and a clear progression route within a growing team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver cost management and quantity surveying services across multiple projects
  • Support project delivery within the wider Building Consultancy team
  • Manage client relationships and provide commercial advice
  • Assist with procurement, tendering and cost reporting
  • Work closely with senior leadership on a range of national instructions
  • Support contract administration and project-focused surveying activities where required
Candidate Requirements:
  • Consultancy background preferred
  • Experience within cost consultancy, building consultancy or project surveying
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Able to work independently within a small team environment
  • Broad sector experience desirable, particularly commercial or industrial projects
  • MRICS preferred but not essential
  • APC candidates close to qualification will also be considered
