Paraplanner

Package: £50,000 basic + £10,000 bonus (c.£60,000 package)

My client is a rapidly growing international wealth management business building a high-performing UK paraplanning function around quality, consistency and technology.

The business supports both UK and internationally mobile clients and is investing heavily in systems that reduce lower-value administration so technical professionals can spend more time on analysis, strategy and adviser partnership.

This opportunity is designed for an experienced Level 4 Paraplanner who wants strong technical exposure, remote flexibility and a credible route into advice.

The Role

  • Work in a close support pod alongside Financial Advisers and Administrators, taking ownership of the technical planning work behind client recommendations.
  • Analyse fact finds, objectives, existing arrangements and client circumstances to identify planning considerations, information gaps and suitable strategies.
  • Prepare clear, compliant and client-friendly suitability reports, financial planning documentation and supporting research.
  • Provide technical support across pensions and retirement planning, including defined benefit and defined contribution knowledge, drawdown, investments, tax-aware structuring and inheritance / estate planning considerations.
  • Use cashflow modelling and digital planning tools to test scenarios, illustrate outcomes and strengthen the planning conversation.
  • Work collaboratively with advisers, compliance and specialist teams on more complex cases, including clients with cross-border or expatriate circumstances.
  • Contribute to improving templates, processes and technology as the UK paraplanning function continues to scale.

About You

  • Level 4 Diploma qualified as a minimum.
  • Around 4+ years of genuine UK paraplanning / technical financial planning experience.
  • Strong knowledge of retirement planning, drawdown, DB and DC pensions, investments, inheritance planning and cashflow modelling.
  • Excellent written skills, technical judgement and attention to detail, with the confidence to challenge or refine an adviser strategy where appropriate.
  • Experience with international / expatriate clients, QROPS or cross-border planning would be highly attractive but is not essential.
  • Ambitious, collaborative and comfortable working in a fast-paced business that is growing quickly and continuing to modernise its advice process.

Package & Progression

  • £50,000 basic salary plus a £10,000 performance bonus, giving a target package of approximately £60,000.
  • Full support for further professional qualifications and technical development.
  • A clear progression route into Financial Advice / client servicing for those who want to move beyond Paraplanning.
  • Exposure to a modern, technology-enabled advice platform and a client base that includes complex UK and internationally mobile wealth
