Remote (UK) Basic DOE, £36,000 Retainer, £135,000+ OTE. My client, a rapidly growing specialist mortgage brokerage, is seeking to appoint an ambitious Mortgage Consultant to join its expanding team. This is a rare opportunity to join an entrepreneurial business at an exciting stage of growth, working alongside highly respected founders with an exceptional track record within the UK property finance market.

The business specialises in arranging finance for international investors, expatriates and foreign nationals purchasing UK property, working closely with leading developers, introducers and overseas agency networks. Having experienced exceptional growth since launch, demand now significantly exceeds capacity, creating an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Mortgage Consultant to inherit a substantial pipeline of high-quality enquiries from day one.

Unlike many advisory positions, there is no expectation to self-generate business. Instead, you will focus on advising and converting a consistent flow of warm, pre-qualified clients while being supported by an experienced in-house Paraplanning function. This is an employed, fully remote position offering genuine six-figure earning potential within a highly specialist and rewarding sector.

Salary & Benefits

  • Initial retainer equivalent to £36,000 during the first three months, with the potential to extend for a further three months subject to performance and mutual agreement
  • Following the retainer period, £27,000 basic salary
  • 35% commission on all banked income
  • Additional 5% backdated bonus upon achieving £200,000 banked income (40% total commission)
  • Further 5% backdated bonus upon achieving £300,000 banked income (45% total commission)
  • Expected Year 1 OTE: Circa £80,000
  • Expected Year 2 OTE: Circa £135,000
  • Permanent employed position
  • Full administrative and Paraplanning support
  • Remote working with occasional travel to London

The Role

Working as part of a growing advisory team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of inbound mortgage enquiries from international buyers and investors purchasing UK property. Responsibilities will include:

  • Advising international investors, expatriates and foreign nationals on UK mortgage solutions
  • Managing approximately 50–70 qualified inbound client introductions each month
  • Providing expert guidance throughout the mortgage application process from initial enquiry through to completion
  • Working on complex lending scenarios involving overseas income, international documentation and specialist ownership structures
  • Liaising with specialist lenders to source appropriate finance solutions
  • Managing longer transaction cycles associated with new-build developments
  • Building strong relationships with clients, developers and professional introducers
  • Working closely with the firm's dedicated Paraplanning team to ensure a seamless client experience
  • Delivering exceptional levels of customer service throughout the entire mortgage journey

About You

Applications are welcomed from ambitious Mortgage Advisers looking to develop their careers within a specialist, high-performing environment. The successful candidate will possess:

  • CeMAP qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience as a Mortgage Adviser / Mortgage Consultant
  • Ideally 1–5 years' mortgage advisory experience
  • Experience within new-build mortgages, international clients or specialist lending
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to manage complex cases with excellent attention to detail
  • A commercially minded and consultative approach
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • The discipline and self-motivation to thrive within a remote working environment
  • A proactive, resilient and team-oriented attitude
  • Willingness to travel to London approximately once per month

The Opportunity

This position offers significantly more than a traditional employed mortgage advisory role. You will join a business founded by highly successful property finance professionals with an established reputation within the sector and longstanding relationships across the UK and international property markets. With a substantial pipeline of warm inbound enquiries already in place, advisers are able to focus entirely on providing advice and converting business, rather than prospecting or generating leads.

You will also benefit from:

  • Fully remote working
  • Genuine work-life flexibility
  • Full Paraplanning support
  • Continuous flow of qualified inbound enquiries
  • No requirement to generate your own business
  • Exposure to complex, high-value specialist lending
  • Clear long-term career progression as the business continues to expand

Interview Process

First-stage interview via Microsoft Teams. Final-stage face-to-face interview at a mutually convenient location.

If you are an ambitious Mortgage Adviser looking to specialise within the international and new-build property finance market, and you are seeking an opportunity where you can focus on converting high-quality inbound business rather than generating leads, I would be delighted to discuss this opportunity with you in confidence.
