An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Rural Valuer to join a well-established and highly regarded property consultancy in their Guildford office. My client has a strong reputation within the rural sector, delivering high-quality valuation and consultancy services to a wide range of clients. Their Rural Valuations team is known for its technical expertise, collaborative culture, and ability to advise on a diverse portfolio of assets across both rural and residential property. As a Senior Rural Valuer, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of valuation services while maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to the continued success of the team. Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking valuations for a variety of purposes including loan security, taxation, inheritance, and estate planning across rural and residential property
- Producing high-quality, detailed valuation reports
- Managing and maintaining valuation instructions through relevant systems and portals
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts
- Supporting junior team members where appropriate and contributing to team development
- Working across a varied portfolio, potentially covering a regional client base
This role requires a confident and commercially aware individual with strong technical expertise and the ability to deliver work to a high standard. You will likely have:
- RICS qualification with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
- Registered Valuer status
- Strong experience in rural and residential valuations
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple instructions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships
- A professional and composed approach, particularly when working under pressure
- A flexible and proactive attitude
Proven experience in agricultural and rural residential valuations (typically 5+ years) is required, along with strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and relevant mapping software. Experience working across a regional area or supporting multiple office locations is desirable, and FAAV qualification is advantageous.
