Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm

About My Client: My client is a highly established property business with a large and fast-paced lettings operation. They are now looking to appoint a Credit Controller to join their client accounts team, supporting the management of a substantial live tenancy portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and analytical skills to join a busy operational environment where relationship management and problem solving are key. The role would suit an experienced Credit Controller looking for a long-term position within a structured and professional property business.

The Role: This is a high-volume Credit Control position focused on managing outstanding debt across a large lettings portfolio of approximately 5,000 live tenancies. You'll be responsible for liaising with tenants, landlords, clients and internal departments to investigate and resolve payment delays, whilst maintaining excellent levels of communication and organisation throughout. This is a busy, process-driven environment requiring somebody resilient, analytical and confident managing large daily workloads.

  • Managing and reducing outstanding debt across a large tenancy portfolio
  • Chasing overdue payments and resolving account issues
  • Liaising with tenants, landlords and internal departments daily
  • Investigating delayed rent payments and outstanding balances
  • Managing high volumes of inbound and outbound communication
  • Handling account queries and reconciliations efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
  • Supporting overall collections performance and debt reduction

Typical daily volumes include:

  • Approximately 120 outbound emails daily
  • Managing 80-100 inbound emails per day
  • Making 20-30 outbound calls daily

What You'll Need:

  • Previous Credit Control experience essential
  • Estate agency or property sector experience highly advantageous
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and process management
  • Experience with reporting or analytical tools beneficial
  • Knowledge of lettings or wider compliance helpful but not essential
  • Long-term interest in Credit Control rather than accounting qualifications
