Location: Barton, Beds (you will need to have transport)
Salary: Β£27,000
Day/Hours: Mon-Thurs 830am-530pm Fri 830am-1230pm (37.5hrs per week)

The Company: This is quite a unique company made up of a friendly, supportive small team of about 15 staff, and this is an additional role. The turnover of staff is very low, some have been there over 30 years - that speaks volumes! They are a niche company, specializing in the buying and distribution of electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical components and assemblies holding both AS9100 and 9120 accreditations.
The Role of the Warehouse Despatcher:
- Receiving: Inspection of incoming shipments to include visual and paperwork inspections, verification of contents against purchase orders, so good systems experience in ERP or similar is essential.
- Inventory management: Maintaining accurate levels of current inventory, conduct regular cycle counts ensuring any discrepancies are recorded and reported, so accuracy and great attention to detail are utmost.
- Order Fulfilment: Preparation of orders for shipping, including picking, packing, labelling ensuring parts are adequately packaged to prevent any damage during transit, so contentiousness, accuracy and speed are essential to get the orders out on time.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean and organized, adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a tidy work environment. Health & safety understanding is essential.
- Communication: Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding inventory issues, system errors or safety concerns, so excellent English verbal and written skills are essential.
Key Requirements:
- A solid, proven experience in a related role and sector, with ideally 3 or more yearsβ experience within a warehouse environment preferred.
- Excellent Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills to ensure accurate inventory management and order fulfilment.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Computer Skills: Familiarity with inventory management software and data entry tasks.
- Problem Solving Skills.
- Quality focused and commercially minded.
- Excellent communication, listening, written and presentation skills.
- GD & T and Mechanical drawing knowledge advantageous.
- Work on their own initiative, is flexible, positive and confident.
- Ideally a forklift license.
- The ability to commute there as it is not on a public transport route.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
