Technical Accreditation Manager Salary : Very market competitive – let\’s have a chat about it Location: flexible for the right person. You will need to travel to HQ in Central Beds for meetings, and to clients locations across the UK and occasionally, abroad Hours: 35 hrs per week Mon-Fri Benefits: lots of them – from enhanced pension, company car, healthcare, 5 weeks holidays (plus bank hols) and more! Overview Working as an integral part of the UK Regulatory team, this role focuses on the maintenance and response to external audit findings, management of the external witnessed audit program and project management to develop new products and drive continual improvement. The role will require you to deliver and develop excellent relationships with the companies regulators, whilst maintaining a high level of conformity and technical excellence. You must have a strong background in management system certification and a proven track record in project management, with shown ability to understand and lead projects in new standards, where you will be the expert in the short term. Experience of working in a regulatory capacity and familiarity with the core concepts of accreditation is required. What Skills Required of the Technical Accreditation Manager • Educated to at least degree standard or equivalent • Approved Lead Auditor Status in at least one of the following: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 • Full understanding of ISO 17021 and ISO 17029 and the principals of auditing • The ability to establish effective working relationships both internally and externally at a senior and working level. • Operational experience in the TIC industry. • Broad knowledge of accreditation requirements and processes • Personal experience of accountability for targets • Results focused and driven. • Ability to understand and utilise management information, with the ability to make informed decisions. • Experience of the development and implementation of management system processes • Experience of working in a regulatory capacity and familiarity with the core concepts of accreditation is required. • Experience of project management • Lead Auditor qualification • Flexibility • Experience in compiling and working with risk assessments • Willingness to travel • Full driving license. The Job Management • Line Manager to both the Quality Coordinator and the Senior Administrator • Provide data and analytical reports for key meetings such as (but not limited to) The impartiality Committee, The Management Review, Directors Strategy meeting Accreditation Management • Maintenance and response to external audit findings (e.g managing the responses and communications through the UKAS portal etc) • Facilitate the external witnessed audit process (including the provision of a technical review of pre-audit information ahead of submission) • Provide technical oversight of the global management system to ensure continual improvement, the avoidance of obsolescence and continued relevance. • Manage the document control process • Provide independent continual performance evaluation of the operations and field teams to reduce dependency on the internal audit • Support the internal audit process both domestically and overseas. • Support the external audit process both domestically and overseas • Provide a direct point of contact for external regulators • Manage process improvement projects, which will include but not limited updating training, process documentation and ongoing support. • Leading project management and technical support for scope extensions and new scheme development (This will include a number of projects ongoing simultaneously with high expectations of delivery and success) • Leading international project management globally for new standards, ETS, change of critical offices etc including leading on projects that cross the group. • Leading project management and technical support for the transition of accreditation and certification standards, which will include but not limited to updating procedures, processes, training materials, briefing employees etc. • Become a technical expert in new standards and transitions before projects are handed over to business as usual.
