Are you an experienced Purchasing Administrator available for an immediate start in a temporary position until the end of September?
Rate of Pay: £12.50-13ph
Days/ Hours: Mon-Fri 830am-5pm (1 hr lunch)
Location: Luton, Beds
Duration: asap until circa end of Sept 2025
Overview: Working as a Purchasing Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring all purchases arrive on time, as ordered, offering a clear chain of communication to the team regarding any supply chain issues, shortfalls, delays etc whilst maintaining the purchasing management system with accurate data updates.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Great communication with all parties, working closely with them, keeping them informed along the way of arrival of stock, delays, updates, checking order confirmations and uploading the orders onto the purchase management system.
- Dealing with all order enquiries via phone and email; excellent English verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Liaise with Accounts department regarding invoice/purchase issues.
- Maintain stock levels constantly in the purchase system so it is always accurate and up to date.
- Ad hoc admin.
Personal Requirements:
- A solid, proven administrator with experience in a buyers/procurement department.
- Ideally, you will have worked in a stock distribution environment so understand the supply chain of stock and orders.
- Good MS Office knowledge - Word, Excel and Outlook.
- ERP purchasing management systems experience or similar.
- Accurate data skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A self-starter with initiative.
- Someone that can work in a fast-paced environment and still keep organised.
- Full rights to work in the UK (not a student visa as no sponsorship for this temp role).
- A great supportive team player.
