We are recruiting additional Aerospace Assessors for a UK and global market leading accreditation company - could it be you? The purpose of this role is to undertake visits to clients in accordance with work schedules, in an efficient and professional manner within the scope of accreditation. If you have Lead Auditor Qualifications or a background in aerospace engineering, we would love to hear from you and to provide you with training for this role to become an assessor. Assessors are professionally qualified, in accordance with company requirements, to carry out assessor visits to their aerospace clients. This role requires specialised experience including technical, administrative and customer service skills and is required to work within specific criteria and guidance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will be assessing the client’s documented management system to ensure compliance with recognised accreditation standards.
- To perform management systems assessments and surveillance visits in a timely manner in accordance with the visit schedule.
- To arrange and attend client visits in a timely manner and give appropriate feedback to the client following the visit and assessment.
- To prepare and submit a visit report to the Customer Operations Department including recommendations regarding any issues and withdrawal of certificates.
- To provide professional advice to Customer Operations Staff.
- To ensure that stage 1 and 2 assessments, surveillance activities and recertification visits comply with the requirements of the Management Systems Manual.
- To comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety policy and manage risk within their area of the business.
- To undertake any other duties as appropriate within their competence, as required by their Head of Unit from time to time.
- Assessors are home and field based and will have responsibility for the safe upkeep of all business equipment supplied including car, computer, phone/fax etc.
- The role requires travelling and often nights away within the UK and on the odd occasion, overseas, so requires flexibility in occasional absences from home, along with a valid passport.
Person Specification Essentials:
- Knowledge and ideally, experience of carrying out audits/assessments (if not, training can be given BUT you must have the relevant aerospace engineering experience).
- Ability to assess against more than one business standard.
- Strong technical background in the required area you will be assessing.
- Demonstrable knowledge of relevant business standards.
- Health & Safety background and understanding with good understanding of compliance.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills to be able to liaise B2B with clients and present reports and assessment summaries.
- An engaging professional who can liaise and ensure good relationships are developed with clients whilst performing audits and assessments.
- A full, ideally clean driving license (max 6 pts) is required.
- Hands-on experience at a more senior level.
- Good ability to learn and continuously develop for legal processes in the workplace.
- A DBS will be undertaken due to the nature of the business you will be required to do in assessing, and where you will be required to attend and perform the assessors’ duties.
- Full eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship unfortunately).
Desirable:
- Knowledge and practical experience of third-party accreditation.
